Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-11
Covet uses cookies and similar storage for three purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering session-level preferences, and basic analytics.
Authentication
Clerk sets session cookies (typically __client, __session) so we can keep you signed in across page loads. These are required for the app to work.
Session storage
We store a per-tab covet_session_id in sessionStorage to stabilize feed ordering across page navigations. It is cleared when you close the tab.
Analytics
PostHog sets a first-party cookie to give your browser a stable distinct ID. We use this to measure aggregate product usage and to understand the signup funnel. Sentry stores a small amount of telemetry to capture errors.
Opting out
You can disable analytics from your account settings (coming soon). Disabling cookies entirely will sign you out and disable Covet’s core functionality.
